BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Business Administration Program offers broad exposure to business administration and economics. Behavioral and quantitative sciences are studied in both theoretical and applied contexts. Mathematics is used as a key tool in the analysis of complex problems and in the interpretation of data. Emphasis is placed on effective written communication. Students are made aware of the need for imaginative, innovative solutions to business problems that encompass human needs and ethical objectives.


Associate of Science Degree – Business Administration

The Associate of Science degree in Business Administration (A.S.-B.A.) offers broad exposure to Business Administration and Economics. Quantitative and behavioral sciences are studied in both theoretical and applied contexts. Emphasis is placed on effective written communication.  Students are taught the value of innovative business solutions balanced with human needs and ethics. The program provides preparation for entry level positions in business, and for completing the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

 

Bachelor of Science Degree – Business Administration

The Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (B.S.-B.A.) provides the students with comprehensive knowledge concerning the foundations of business and how it can be used to solve real-world problems. The program offers a strong, broad-based education in the fundamentals of business policy and procedures enhanced by studies in a broad spectrum of general education topics.

 

Years 1 and 2 curricula are currently identical to the Associate Degree Program in Business Administration.

Dr. Russell S. Winer is the William Joyce Professor and Chair of the Department of Marketing at the Stern School of Business, New York University. He previously served on the faculties of Columbia University, Vanderbilt University and the University of California at Berkeley, and has been a visiting faculty member at M.I.T., Stanford University, Cranfield School of Management (U.K.), the Helsinki School of Economics, the University of Tokyo, École Nationale des Ponts et Chausées, and Henley Management College (U.K.).

In addition, Dr. Winer has authored more than 60 papers on a variety of marketing topics, including consumer choice, marketing research methodology, marketing planning, advertising, and pricing, as well as three books: Marketing Management, Analysis for Marketing Planning and Product Management, and a research monograph, Pricing. Dr. Winer has served two terms as the editor of the Journal of Marketing Research, and he is the past co-editor of Journal of Interactive Marketing, Associate Editor of the International Journal of Research in Marketing, co-editor of the Review of Marketing Science, and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Marketing Research, and Marketing Science. He has participated in executive education programs around the world, and is a founding Fellow of the INFORMS Society for Marketing Science. Dr. Winer is the most recent past Executive Director of the Marketing Science Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Dr. Winer received a B.A. in Economics from Union College and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
